Accessibility and Inclusivity

At Libbear Barton, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to relax, reconnect and make joyful memories—regardless of age, ability, or background.

Accessible Accommodation:
Three of our four properties feature ground-floor bedrooms with low-threshold doorways and step-free access internally. Bathrooms in these properties are spacious enough for guests with limited mobility, and we offer additional accessibility equipment on request, such as shower stools. These need to be requested in advance.

Inclusive Facilities and Experiences:
Our site is laid out with accessibility in mind, with flat or gently sloping pathways, and clear access to communal facilities like the indoor pool and games room. We have baby equipment available at no charge, ensuring that young families—especially first-time parents—feel welcomed and supported. Our petting farm has been designed with safe, easy-access walkways so that children and adults of all abilities can interact with the animals.

Welcoming Environment:
We strive to create a relaxed, supportive atmosphere for all guests. Our staff are trained to be attentive and respectful to guests' differing needs and communication styles. Clear information is sent in advance of each stay and we encourage guests to contact us if they have any additional requirements. This allows us to prepare and personalise their experience wherever possible.

Future Commitment:
As part of our ongoing development, we plan to audit our site for additional accessibility improvements and enhance staff training to ensure Libbear Barton remains a truly welcoming and inclusive destination for all.

While we are not yet fully compliant with all accessibility standards, our ethos is one of continuous improvement and listening to our guests—and we welcome suggestions from anyone with lived experience of disability or additional needs.
