Channel 4’s hit reality TV show, The Simpler Life, was filmed here at Libbear Barton over the summer of 2021. 30 Brits and an Amish family from Ohio made their home for 5 months here whilst learning to live completely self sufficiently. Learn more about it here.

Our Holiday Properties

Our beautiful and impressive Georgian farmhouse Toad Hall sleeps up to 16 in seven bedrooms while the three charming converted barn cottages, Otter’s Den (sleeps 8) Mole End (sleeps 8) and Badger’s House (sleeps 9) each has 4 bedrooms.  They all have their own individual character and each has a private garden and a trampoline.

Toad Hall

Toad Hall is the original farmhouse dating back to the 18th century.  It has beautiful original features, gorgeous views, seven bedrooms, a fabulous Aga kitchen large enough for everyone to eat together and three comfortable reception rooms. Perfect for large gathering of friend and family, it can sleep up to 16 adults.

Otter's Den

Otter's Den is an open plan barn conversion with double height ceilings and open beams.  It has a light and spacious living area and four bedrooms on two floors.

Mole End

Mole End is a cosy cottage with impressive original wood beams with a separate living room and a spacious kitchen dining room.  It has four bedrooms, a bathroom and two en suites.

Badger's House

Badgers house is our most spacious cottage; a charming property that can sleep nine adults.  It has a large sitting room with a log burner, attractive kitchen with large pine dining table and four bedrooms: two doubles, a twin and a further bedroom which can be made up with a double bed plus a single, or three singles.
